God is a good and loving God who created us to have a relationship with Himself. He loves us but does not, however, force us to love Him in return. If we were forced to love Him, it wouldn't be love at all. As humans we have all spurned and rejected God at times in our lives and chosen to go our own sinful ways. Because God is a God of justice, He cannot allow our sin to go unpunished, yet because He loves us He also does not require us to pay for our sins. After all, nothing we could ever do would suffice. The Bible says that man's best efforts are like filthy rags! God, in His love for us, sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to take on human form and take the guilt of all of our sins for us. God offers to lay our guilt on Jesus if we will accept His free gift of forgiveness and life without end in His presence. All we have to do is accept it. What an incredible gift! It is hard to imagine that anyone would not want to accept an offer such as that. Not everyone has heard about this offer, though, and some have heard it only in ways that they did not understand. Christ in His time here on earth commanded those of us who have accepted His free gift of life to spread the good news to others so that they may also partake of His grace. That is why I want to use the gifts and abilities that God has given me to tell others about Him.
I believe:
1. God exists in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
2. The Bible is the inspired word of God
3. God is the Creator of all things
4. Mankind is sinful and deserving of death
5. Christ died so that we may have life
